The Best Laid Plans . . .

Well, we tried.  We had a nice morning at the lake with my parents & the monkeys (while big sis slept in).  Then we headed home, ate some lunch, and attempted to start laying the kitchen floor.  But we got stuck up on problem after problem and finally hit a temporarily (on a holiday with no hardware stores open) insurmountable one this evening.  Sigh.  We'll resume the battle tomorrow and hopefully I can have a progress shot for you.
