Desperately Seeking Spring

SWF, 24 years old, desperately seeking true spring weather. Am currently experiencing a good week, but do not trust New England weather's continued compliance. Longing for sunny car rides, evening fires, early morning coffee on the deck, Red Sox games, and many other spring activities. If you think you are the right spring weather for me, please visit as soon as possible!

Jumping-off Place

So this is my new blog. I began one with Friendster in December and was reasonably content with it. However, 3 things made me decide to switch to a Blogger account:
  1. If you're not a Friendster member, you can't comment on posts in any Friendster blog. I want to see what you all have to say! Hence, you can comment in this blog. (If you try & actually can't, let me know. I'm still getting the hang of things around here.)
  2. The title of my blog, Enigmatic Snippets, was a great title, but one with bad connotations. It was the brain child of an ex, and therefore scary territory. See below for an explanation of this blog's title.
  3. Friendster started putting ads on my blog - not just innocuously at the top, but right in the middle of my posts! I hated it, so I left in a huff.
However, there was some good stuff in that ol' blog of mine. If you want to read it (beware the insidious ads!), here it is: Enigmatic Snippets.

The title of this new blog, Hodoeporicon, is a word that captured my fancy a number of years ago. Properly, it means "an account of a journey" and the only place you'll probably find it is an old tome called:
"The Hodoeporicon of St. Willibald", by one Huneberc, a German nun of the 970's. I like its obscurity. :)

As this blog will not really be a travelogue, I had second thoughts about using the name. However, I do occasionally go on trips - to Canada, Scotland, etc. - and I promise to write about those. In the meantime, think of it as an account of my journey through life.
