I love my new baubles

I owe you guys a post about Saturday's dinner at Cafe Polonia (which was yummy). However, DQ distracted me with a request for a picture of my new necklace. For Valentine's Day, I asked my co-worker, who's a really talented jewelry maker (check out her site), to create a necklace using a silver star bead & a British two-pound coin. Here it is:

Sorry I should have mentioned more. Its very pretty.

Is the two pound coin a real one? Why a two pound coin?

You're a big fan of our little island aren't you.

Defo unusual good. I love charm type jewellery. . .

Oh one last thing. I just read you post from a year ago (as I said work is getting to be a struggle). I am so glad that you found what you are looking for in the arms of your lovely man.

Necklace is v pretty!

I notice that it's sitting on top of The Historian - I bought it but haven't read it yet. Is it good?

I like the necklace. I've been to Cafe Polonia and liked it, but it was during a strange phase in which I was obsessed by all things Polish.

DQ - The coin is real, from one of my past trips to Edinburgh. I just love how decorative the 2-pounder is, compared to boring American coinage.

Teeny - Sadly, have not read The Historian yet either! Will let you know how it is if I finish it first. Will you do the same? :)

Eileen - Sounds like an interesting phase! Cafe Polonia is so yummy, though.
