Grump, grump
So I spent my first wedding anniversary yesterday husbandless. And it sucked. I'll write more later (planning a cross-post w/ Wer Ond Wif), but you can imagine how it would suck. The lunchtime view above, plans for going down to the Cape over the next few weekends, and looking forward to PEI in one month are the only things keeping me going. So thanks, ocean, for making the ache in the pit of my stomach go away a little. Just a little, though.

NEILGAIMANOMGNAILGAIMAN
Guess who I got to hear speak tonight at the Portsmouth Music Hall? Give ya 3 guesses . . . Gaiman was brilliant (natch) and it was a lovely time. He also had many, many awesome quotable quotes, but these few spring to mind:
- "I have writer's block. Leave me alone. I have to drink tea and contemplate the infinite."
- "When I was a kid, I had this book called 'Dalek World' and I learned that Daleks can't see red . . . but there are red Daleks! . . . I always worried about them."
- "I have this box, mentally as well as physically actually, where I'm always putting stuff for American Gods #2." !!!
Please to enjoy the crappy phone pictures taken from my restricted view balcony seat.

Reversal of Stereotypes
On the way up to Portsmouth today to work on my exhibit, I saw a car with a bumper sticker that read "Conservatives Have More Fun." . . . Huh? If anyone is going to be having fun in life, it's us pot-smoking, free-loving commie-pinko-hippie-liberals, thank you very much.
