2013, Week #34

Images from the week of August 19-25.

Crazy busy day but this is my lunch view, so that's nice.

Pretty Hartwell Tavern (in Minuteman National Historical Park).

Cool moon(s) over the reservoir.  When we got home, we looked it up and realized it was a blue moon.

Haven't done a hammock shot in awhile.

Using the new grill (with chimney starter) on the new patio - Justin's life is complete.

Anyone needs a cholera cure?

Desk on the second floor on one of my houses - isn't a lovely spot?

Ship drawing found on the back of an 1843 sermon. Was someone not paying attention in church?

Somebody's a wicked cute puppy with his head on a sheepskin.

Wilderness camping this weekend for a friend's wedding - packing all the essentials.

The view is actually worth the choppy canoe ride.

Gorgeous.

#nofilter on this one (sunset from the beach of our campsite)

Another #nofilter one, if you can believe it.

Elemental (see what I did there?)

Good morning from Students Island #9!

Water taxis to the ceremony site.

The arrival of the bride by seaplane to the ceremony site = coolest thing ever.

Mmmm, dinner.

Patio patterns.

2013, Week #33

August 12-18, at your service:

Knight House in the August sun.

There's a dog shape in the bed!

Lunch.  :)

One of the patio finishing touches, thanks to my wonderful hubby - an air conditioner screen!

Summer afternoon in the garden.

The ell.

My boys.

How's a girl supposed to go to work with all this cuteness in the bed?

Cherry tomatoes from the garden for lunch today.

Missed this!

A beer in the hot tub last night = ‪#‎lakelife‬.

:)

More canoe ride photos - Belle Isle on an overcast day.

Swim break in this little cove. ‪Beorn‬ is a terrible swimmer.

Canoe dog!

I know I'm all sandy, but can I bring my bone inside anyways?

2013, Week #32

First full week home from vacation.  You can hear the PEI homesickness in some of the captions.  ;)  Here are my photos from August 4-11:

Well, it's not PEI, but it's not too bad, is it, puppies?

Still a few more tweaks needed but, here's an "after" shot of the patio. I'll see if I can dig up the"before."

Again, not PEI, but not so bad.

CSA joy (and a wooden bowl three lovely ladies gave me long ago).

Another "not PEI, but not so bad" moment today.

Saturday morning backyard.

Om nom nom.

More weekend backyard bliss.

Love my sister's new screen porch.

2013, Week #31

Last week of vacation.  Rainy to start, but it cleared up mid-week and we did a ton of stuff!  Here is July 29-August 4:

Rainy these last few days, but lots of time for snuggling & reading!

Poor Justin's sick but was game for a little beach time regardless.

Monkeys at the shore after supper with Auntie, Uncle, and the puppies.

Just nothing else like it.

Crazy dramatic clouds!

Just having a feed of mussels at the park's family fun day, nbd.

Happy lady in the trees.

Auntie and her boys on vacay.

I think the sun's gone to our heads.

The view from our bed.

Cutie boy @ the beach.

Little nugget asked for his picture to be taken.

Yet another sunset, booooring.

Biking on PEI means little ponds in the woods . . .

And lanes lined with birch & pine . . .

And wonderful old farmhouses next to horse chestnut trees.

Guernsey Cove is too lovely.

We went to an amusement park and enjoyed the rides as much, if not more, than our nephews.

The view out the window at Malpeque Oyster Barn.

Heaven at Malpeque Oyster Barn.

Devouring his first mussels ever.

At their great-great-great uncles' and great-great-great grandparents' graves.

Thing 2 exploring at his great-great grandparents' cottage lot.

Unreal sunset on our last night - PEI must have known it was our last for a year.

Bye for another year, lighthouse!

Sadie taking her last looks and smells of PEI and a Beorn photo bomb.
